Our Choruses

Youth Chorus of Annapolis offers three choruses for school-aged singers, each designed to build confidence, foster musical excellence, and inspire a lifelong love of choral music.

Training Chorus

Training Chorus is our introductory ensemble, focusing on foundational vocal skills. Singers explore pitch, rhythm, and ensemble awareness through engaging songs, movement, and games. Singers build confidence through performances.

Grades 1-5

Treble Chorus

Treble Chorus is our intermediate ensemble, building on foundational skills with added focus on vocal technique, music literacy, and part-singing. Singers gain confidence through challenging songs and many performance opportunities.

 

Grades 5-8

Chamber Singers

Chamber Singers is our most advanced ensemble for singers who show strong vocal ability, musicality, and leadership. They perform sophisticated repertoire and represent the organization at special events, concerts, and community engagements.

Youth Chorus of Annapolis is committed to demonstrating choral excellence by intentionally promoting diversity and inclusivity in membership and repertoire, celebrating the benefits of musical participation for youth of the community at large, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability or socioeconomic status, remembering that diversity does not always present itself visibly.
